About the event
Do we love a person, or do we love what they represent?
Or do some of us simply fall in love with the idea of love?
Is it normal for us to suffer because we long for those who do not belong to our world?
Does gender have a social role?
Shakespeare’s comedy On İkinci Gece leaves us grappling with these questions in a world where everything is turned upside down. Beginning with a shipwreck, the story makes us laugh whilst also revealing our own contradictions through lost siblings, swapped identities and declarations of love made to the wrong people.
This play is a production by the Kumpanya Performing Arts Acting Workshop and is performed by the Kumpanya Ensemble.
